| Raghavendra Kumar: The Helmet Man of India Who Donated 60,000 Helmets to Save Lives |
New Delhi (DM Network): Raghavendra Kumar, affectionately known as the Helmet Man of India, has etched his name in history with a remarkable mission to save lives on Indian roads.
A native of Bihar's Kaimur district, Raghavendra quit his job in 2014 after the tragic loss of his close friend Krishna in a road accident in Greater Noida due to not wearing a helmet. Since then, he has distributed over 60,000 helmets free of cost across the country, a selfless act that has already saved at least 35 lives.
His dedication earned him recognition as a world record holder by ASEAN World Records for the maximum donation of helmets by an individual. Today, he stands as an icon of road safety awareness, inspiring millions and making Bihar and the entire nation proud.
