Skipped Sri Lanka, Skipped Indonesia – Straight Into Dragon’s Lap: Pakistan Army Chief's China Dash Exposes Its Collar Chain

In yet another comical twist of geopolitics, Pakistan's Army Chief-turned-Field Marshal-for-self-glory, Asim Munir, cancelled his scheduled visits to Sri Lanka and Indonesia. His urgency? Not some regional peace effort - but a desperate flight to Beijing to appease his Chinese masters.

Why? Because China is worried - worried about its investments, its workers, and its vanity projects in Pakistan. And rightly so - when terror is your backyard industry, even your iron brother sleeps with one eye open.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's deputy PM Ishaq Dar is busy trying to sweet-talk Marco Rubio in Washington, D.C., begging for aid in the name of regional stability. Let’s decode the real picture: one hand is stretched towards Beijing’s yuan, and the other towards Washington’s dollars - classic Pakistani diplomacy: do more, beg more.

India, unlike its neighbours, watches every military handshake and shadow in the region with precision. MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh rightly reminded the Parliament that India has long flagged its concerns about US military support to Pakistan. After all, how long can the West ignore that every tank funded by America eventually rolls towards India?

But let’s talk facts:

  • China fears its own BRI assets in Pakistan.

  • Pakistan fears global irrelevance.

  • The US fears losing South Asia to China.

But let’s not kid ourselves - Pakistan is already rented out to China. It skipped democratic neighbours and flew into authoritarian arms. That says enough.

And as for India - we're watching, noting, and preparing. Because when Islamabad bows, it’s Beijing that whispers - and it’s India that must respond.
